Payment & Deposits

A nanny can be put on hold for up to 7 days. Once the 7 days have passed the nanny may be booked in with another family (unless a longer amount of time has been agreed)

When a booking is made 50% of the price will need to be paid as a deposit. This is a non-refundable deposit and secures your booking.

The remaining balance is then paid, four weeks prior to your arrival in resort. Your invoice will be sent 1 week before the payment is due. Payments must be paid by the due date or a daily late fee of £2 will be added to your invoice.

Booking payments can be made through bank transfer or online card payment. To pay with your card online you will be sent an E-Invoice which will take you to a secure page for online card payment.

Babysitting and extra hours (over 48 hours) worked will be payable to your Nanny in resort, between 15 and 20 euros per hour dependent on amount of children.

Half Days – If you have booked our half day package, it is likely the nanny will be booked with another family during the other half of the day. If the nanny is not booked it is then possible to “add on” extra hours over the week. Add on hours are £16 up to 30 hours then £14 after 30 hours. At the end of the week you will be emailed the invoice for your “add on” hours, payments are then made through either bank transfer, online card payment or euros cash in resort.

Flexi packages – Hours pre booked are payable before your holiday as with our full time and half day bookings, any extra hours worked by your nanny up to 48 hours will be invoiced to you at the end of your week at £14 per hour and is payable by bank transfer, online card payment or cash at the end of your holiday. Your nanny will fill in a time sheet each day that will need signing by a parent. Any hours over 48 hours (in 6 days) are then charged by your nanny in resort as babysitting.
All “add on” hours must be paid for within 5 days of being invoiced. A daily fee of £2 will be added for late payment.
When paying in cash euros at the end of your week, hours will be charged based on the exchange rate on the first day of your holiday.

Flexi packages and half day bookings are not available during peak weeks, New Year, February half term and Easter holidays.

At the beginning of any booking we advise that you give your nanny some pocket money for the week ahead, to pay for food for lunch and any other trips and treats for the children during the week.
At the end of the week your nanny will give you back any change and all receipts from anything purchased for the children.

Packages and Hours
Full time nanny package – Your nanny will be available to work 8 consecutive hours per day between the hours of 8:30am and 7:00pm. If your nannies starting time is at 8:30 am and the children are at ski school for 2-4 hours this is still included in her hours and she would finish at 4:30pm.
Any hours worked over 8 hours per day or after 9:00pm are charged extra as babysitting.

Half Day Packages – Our morning package runs from either 8:30am – 12:30pm or 9:00am – 1:00pm. Once this package is booked it is not possible to change the hours as it is likely that the nanny will have a booking in the afternoon with another family, when booking the morning package it is important that you arrive back each day on time to ensure your nanny is not late to her next booking. If you have booked the morning package and your nanny is not booked in the afternoons we are happy to be flexible with the hours and add on hours if needed.
Our afternoon package runs from 1:15pm – 5:00, if you would like to add on hours after 5:00pm this is also possible and can be discussed prior to your arrival or in resort.

Flexi packages – Hours pre booked and added on are to be worked each day consecutively by the nanny between the hours of 8:30am and 7:30pm. Upon making your booking you will pre pay for 30 hours or more and can spread them out over the week during your holiday between Sunday to Friday or Monday to Saturday depending on your arrival day. Each day your nanny will then fill in a time sheet and let you know how many hours you have used. When you book a flexi package your nanny will solely work for you for the entire week during the day time, offering you complete flexibility.

Any hours pre booked and not used are non refundable.  It is up to the client to use the hours paid for, consecutively each day between, 8:30am and 7:30pm

Health and safety

At Meribel Nanny Services we take health and safety very seriously! With each booking the nannies take as many measures as possible to ensure the health and safety to all the little ones in our care. Ultimately it is the tour operators or owners’ responsibility to ensure that health and safety regulation are adhered to in accommodations. If the client has any concerns over the health and safety in their accommodation they should speak directly to the tour operator or owner to resolve the issue.

Due to strict laws in France, insurance and health and safety, your nanny is unable to ski as part of their job, not all of our nannies are at a confident level to ski and are not insured to ski with you, your children or the childrens classes.
All our nannies are trained in resort at the beginning of the season including health and safety in the chalets and outdoors in resort. Each nanny also holds an in date first aid certificate and a DBS check. Insuring all little ones are in safe and competent hands.

Note: If your child/children have an accident or suffers and loss or damage to his/her personal
effects or money Meribel Nanny Services will not be liable to pay any damages or costs.
If you child/children incurs any liability to a third party for example, of injury caused by your child/children to a third party, loss or damage to the third parties personal property or effects, Meribel Nanny Services will not be responsible.

Without amazing nannies, we couldn’t be childcare specialists, which is why our rigorous recruitment process is so important. Every nanny first sends a CV through, if they meet the correct criteria’s they are then invited for a skype interview with Nicole the managing director.
If the managing director is happy with the nannies interview she will then check references and invite the nanny to a face to face interview to check the original paper work (qualification, DBS, first aid certificate and passport)
All Meribel Nanny Services nannies are qualified, experienced, DBS checked and first aid trained. They are then trained by Meribel Nanny Services.
